Currently Reading - Week 30

Hello, lovely book worms! If you are reading this, you are no doubt wondering where my book related posts have been. I wanted to talk a little bit about that today.

As promised, I am going to update you on my reading. It has been 7 months since my last currently reading post. Some of you may be thinking that I haven't been reading, you are partially right. Right now, I am currently in a major reading slump. In the last week or two, I have barely finished 25-50 pages.

However, prior to this slump of summer, I had read another 20 books. As you can imagine writing reviews for each one would be a huge task. For the sake of time and boring you to pieces, I will list the books I have completed, the rating, and any comments I have about that particular read. After this, I will also be double checking my Books of 2017 tab and updating it as well. So let's get started, shall we!

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - 3 stars - Might have enjoyed it more in my youth.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - 4 stars - Originally 5, but the more I sat with it, the more it didn't hit all the marks for me.
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan - 4 stars - Loved the humor in this.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas - 5 stars - Spoiler alert, my favorite from the trilogy.
Winnie the Pooh Storybook Collection - 5 stars - Bedtime stories that my littles especially loved.
The Princess Saves Herself in this One by Amanda Lovelace - 5 stars - Better than Milk and Honey.
A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab - 4 stars - Originally 5; however, I felt it could have been taken further.
Enthrall Him by Vanessa Fewings - 4 stars - Quick read that I flew through.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien - 5 stars - Took me a bit, but ended up loving it.
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas - 5 stars - Simply because I loved it. Maas could have taken it a little more, made it darker.
Dead to You by Lisa McMann - 3 stars - Quick read from an author I always enjoy.
The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma - 3 stars - I was confused a lot, but a unique concept and execution.
A Scone to Die For by H.Y. Hanna - 5 stars - Bestie loved it, I loved it. Fun light hearted read.
Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes - 5 stars - Truly chilling and real.
The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchinson - 3 stars - Interesting principle and way to tell a story; however, I often felt disconnected.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han - 3 stars - Enjoyed it, but not as much as I had hoped to.
Crossroads by Riley Hart - 5 stars - My first M/M romance and it was everything.
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton - 4 stars - Such a beautiful and heartbreaking story. Open ending that leaves you to guess what you will.
Hard Wood by A.R. Steel - 3 stars - Wasn't blown away by it, but it was a tough act to follow with Crossroads.
All Hallows' Eve by Annabelle Jacobs - 5 stars - Loved the elements of fall and Halloween.

Currently Reading - Allie and Bea by Catherine Ryan Hyde - Won this in a giveaway. Not sure how I feel about the characters and their actions. Hoping to finish it soon though... if I ever get out of this slump.

I am currently two books ahead of my Goodreads challenge (that has fallen in the last two weeks) and I have finished 29 of the 52 Popsugar Reading Challenge prompts, which leaves me one behind schedule.

I hope that you have enjoyed this update! I would love to know how your goodreads challenge is going for the year. What are you currently reading?
