How To Look Your Best - Wedding Edition

Hello, my darlings! Wedding season is here and I have several just around the corner, including my own! Today, I wanted to bring you a few styling tips to look your best no matter the dress code.

There is nothing like showing up to a wedding without the appropriate attire or having your guests not adhere to the dress code you have clearly labeled on your invitations. I came across this wonderful style guide from The Black Tux to help you properly dress for the occasion at hand. I will include that below and talk about a few of them here.

White Tie, known for its glamorous dress, perfectly tailored tuxedos, and elegant etiquette, can be one of the hardest to dress for; however, who doesn't love the chance to dress like royalty and enjoy an evening with friends and family. The Black Tux some amazing options for renting Tuxedos and Suits (also great for black tie and black tie optional). Finding the perfect suit has never been easier with free home try one for a guaranteed fit for your and all of your wedding party.

A few tips for this style:
-Elegance can be achieved with simplicity with your dress. Use jewelry and a dramatic lip color, like red, for a classic look. The diamond collar necklace has been a statement piece in fashion for years. It is a style you can find in a variety of price ranges and styles. Here is a gorgeous example:
-Men, make sure your tuxedo is appropriately tailored to your body. Don't skimp, spend the little extra to make sure it is pristine.

Another wedding style that I find myself attracted to is Beach Formal. When I was younger, I dreamed of a beach wedding with fancy dresses and nicely tailored men enjoying a night in the sand with cocktails and music. I loved the mix of relaxation and elegance, a juxtaposition of sorts.

Tips and tricks for the perfect beach formal look:
-Let your natural beauty shine through with a light touch of makeup. Never underestimate how transforming a joyful smile can be.
-If you are forecasted for heat, make sure that the fabric you choose is lightweight and breathable. You will thank yourself for keeping cool and not letting your clothes get stuck on you. One of the options I found is this dress from Torrid. I love the wrap style for added breathability.

However, that isn't what Dylan and I have decided for our wedding. After a lot of talk and decisions on our part, we are doing a more casual wedding with just us. We aren't talking the tacky way you see that person in jeans and a crop top either. We want simplicity so that our focus can be on the experience and the atmosphere of the day. Who knows, I may break the rules and still wear a dress, but the overall feel of things will be relaxed and cozy. Maybe we will even have a bonfire with blankets and smores to celebrate the beginning of our journey as one.

A few ideas:
-Keep it simple and play it up with a nice necklace to complement your neckline.
-Men, even though it is casual, press your slacks for a clean and well put together look that will leave everyone impressed with your style and taste.
