Christmas In July: The Night Before Christmas

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the neighborhood, not a family was sleeping, not even the glittery one. You could find us all singing with happiness and cheer, as we stuffed the stockings and grabbed each others rears.
With the spiked hot chocolate and all the presents wrapped under the trees, we went on in merriment as we all shared some canes.  One by one we sang all the songs, and with each round the clothes kept coming off. With the lights all a glow and Mr. and Mrs. Claus tied up in the kitchen, we all took our turn with cheeks all red. The neighbors not in attendence all peaked to see what was a matter, as the giggles and cries spread throughout the night. With the kids all tucked away, they danced the night away as the reindeers made their stops. Before they knew it, it was once again that time of year. Time to get lost in the piles of paper and ribbon as the kids squealed, while the parents catch tiny naps with smiles as the memories of the night played in their heads.
